Assorted Software Topics/Projects:
In my other life, I spend my time designing and writing software, and in the spirit of helping out others I thought
I'd include various highly vertical topics that I've tackled through the years.
These will probably only be of interest to a very few people, and probably not for long since these things
have a rather short shelf life. But... when I've gone looking for this sort of information I often find that
inspite of the bredth of the internet the depth can be surprisingly shallow...
The first set of links incorporates some examples I have related to various professional projects I've undertaken
for customers in the last few years and spans a wide range of Java® related technologies.
The second set of links pulls together some information I have, that frankly is a bit dated and goes back
about to 2000 when I tought an after-school introduction to robotics at my sons school using Lego Mindstorms®.
Well he's grown now and off to college but I put a fairly significant effort into those classes and thought I'd make
them available for anyone else to use if they have similar aspirations. It was loads of fun to do by the way...
The last link is a bit closer to home, my daughter is deaf, autistic, and multiply handicapped. Over time I've tried
(sometimes successfully, sometimes not so) to write game software for her. Included here is the full source code
to several "games" that are geared to touch screen computers (though that's not required of course) that you are
free to reuse and redistribute non-commercially as you see fit.
