Well, in the world of mechanical watches and clocks, magnetism is something to be avoided since it degrades the accuracy.. If the parts most affected by a magnetic field i.e. balance wheel, balance spring and escapement are made of non-magnetic materials the clock or watch is called anti-magnetic. Many antique watches and clocks extol their "anti-magnetic" attributes. I came across a lot of these as I was creating the desktop software and it started to work on me...I kept thinking that far from being anti-magnetic, magnetism is at the very heart of every modern computer system (and electronic clocks for that matter) which rely heavily on magnetism for storage and retrieval. With that in mind I just decided one day that the name ought to extol the very-magnetic nature of our products...appologies to those of you who surfed here from a search engine looking for some sort of industrial magnetic clock mechanism...
