This clock design is classical Art Deco, hunt around enough and you will find similar designs from
manufacturers like Telechron and Sessions. This I designed to be a departure
from these others though, its Octagon shaped body smoothly flows into stubby rounded legs but It's also much deeper in shape
than all others I've seen. It's also not 100% perfectly Octagon shaped, the sides are slightly elongated, I feel like it
creates more space for the swirled composition to take shape where you will see it best, that and I like the proportions this
way so...
The clock selection process cover's three pages, you start here by picking the movement style from the
available options by clicking on the option you want. I designed this one to accept any of several clock movments,
spaning a range of quality, function and price. In addition to movement choices you will select the color and chose from a host
of various face styles as well as one of several sets of hands.
Option 1: This movement is a single AA battery powered movement, however it's not a typical
quartz movement. It features a smooth, continuous motion sweep second hand that looks quite analog (no jerky motion).
It's also nearly silent (compared to other quartz movement) and would be reasonable to use in a bedroom. Face and
movement pull out from the rear as one unit to change the battery.
Option 2: A U.S. made 120 Volt compact quartz movement with second hand. This movement is not
continuous sweep, it will display the somewhat less elegant quartz style motion (where the
second hand snaps from one second to the next), it's still a plug-in model though so no batteries to change.
Option 3: For those who want a truely authentic feeling vintage clock, one that you actually plug into a wall outlet.
This is a high quality, synchronous, 120 Volt U.S. made movement that features quiet operation with continuous sweep
second hand... It's somewhat more expensive. Note that I'm still in the process of getting hands for these so this one isn't
available just yet...sorry, hope to make it available soon
